Cycling around Padstow
One of the most popular activities when visiting Padstow is to hire bicycles and cycle along the Camel Trail to either Wadebridge, Bodmin or Wenfordbridge. There are a couple of bike hire places in Padstow, both located on South Quay, near the car park adjacent to Rick Stein’s delicatessen, sea food school and fish and chip shop.
The first one, Padstow Cycle Hire, has a range of brand new 2008 bicycles from around £12 a day for an adult bike. There is a wide selection including mountain bikes with or without suspension, hybrid bikes, tandems, child bikes, bikes with child seat or trailer for a child or dog.
The second bike hire shop, Trail Bike Hire, a little further along has slightly cheaper bikes for around £9 a day for an adult bike. They also have a good range of bikes and trailers to choose from. Both bike hire places provide locks, puncture repair kits and helmets free of charge.
Alternatively, bikes can also be hired in Wadebridge or Bodmin.
