Carlisle United v Leeds United

Leeds 1 Carlisle United 2
If you are a Leeds United fan, then the place to be this Thursday is Brunton Park, Carlisle, for the second leg of the Coca Cola League One Play Off Semi Final. Last night's game at Elland Road finished Leeds 1 Carlisle 2 in front of over 36,000 fans. It could have been so much worse for Leeds, but a 96th minute from Dougie Freedman in front of goal, gave Leeds a much needed lifeline and the psychological edge going into Thursday's tie.
The final scoreline was a fair representation of the match, and Leeds will be disappointed with the way they played for large parts of the game, and the defense and midfield will be hoping they can really get it together for Thursday. Having said that the Carlisle goalkeeper, Keiren Westwood was undoubtely the man of the match as he made several magnificent saves to stop Dougie Freeman and Jermaine Beckford scoring in the first half.
Both Carlisle goals were gifted by sloppy defense work, something Leeds will have to make sure does not re-occur on Thursday. The tie is still wide open and the travelling Leeds fans will hoping they can still make it to Wembley and get out of the division.
Leeds Leeds Leeds!
